LINIR TEC is a Welsh software and applied-AI company working on technical problems that need more than a model, dashboard or proof-of-concept slide.
We combine software engineering, data, optimisation and AI around a defined problem. The aim is not to force AI into every project; it is to build a system that works, can be evaluated and can be explained to the people using it.
How we work
- Start with the problem — define the decision, workflow or bottleneck that needs to improve.
- Make the constraints explicit — data, people, time, capacity, safety, integration and operational rules.
- Build a narrow working slice — enough to test the difficult part early.
- Evaluate it honestly — measure what works, what does not and what would be needed next.
- Document the outcome — so the work is useful whether it becomes a larger system or stops there.
Current R&D focus: aviation maintenance planning
COSMO is our active prototype for maintenance planning under changing constraints. It combines forecasting, constraint-based planning and optimisation to explore how a plan can be revised when the inputs change rather than leaving a forecast beside a static schedule.
